JAMMU, June 8: Activities of wife of a senior BJP minister in the state government are on radar of the party high command and Sangh Parivar following fresh complaints of corruption against her.
According to the reliable sources in party circles, the BJP high command and top functionaries of the Sangh Parivar have come to know about various acts of omissions and commissions by this high-profile wife of this senior BJP minister.
Even as the party was already aware about the too much influence of this lady on official functioning of her husband, there were no solid proofs of accepting corruption by her in lieu of works, more particularly transfers and adjustments of officers.
However, the consistent and close vigil on activities of the said lady, who is virtually acting as super minister of the portfolios under charge of her husbands, have made several revelations about her luxurious life style and newly added assets with free flow of income through unknown sources.
While elaborating, sources said that a new SUV Duster vehicle was recently purchased by this lady on the name of a close worker cum agent, who has been assigned the charge of taking care of the issues of Assembly constituency of her husband. Further, frequent shopping and purchasing of costly items are among the known hobbies of this lady, whose purse is always found filled with cash worth lakhs of rupees, sources added.
All these fact have come into the notice of the party high command and senior RSS functionaries through various sources following which a secret watch is being maintained on activities of this high-profile wife of senior minister as the party fears too much leverage to the said lady may harm reputation of BJP, which has come to power for the first time in the history of J&K.
Earlier also, sources said, the RSS had warned this minister to restrain his wife from exerting too much influence on his official function following numerous complaints against the same. |
