6/8/2016 11:53:37 PM

Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, June 8: Despite clarifications from government on the issue of establishing Sainik and Pandit Colonies in Kashmir, separatist factions are hell bent to launch a season of strikes.
Separatist factions functioning under Syed Ali Shah Geelani (G) and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq (M) according to credible sources are these days busy crafting a long season of strikes under the garb of "resentment against establishing Sainik and Pandit Colonies in Kashmir."
Sources said that government move to curb activities of separatist leaders has undermined the importance of separatists among people. They said that now in order to make their presence felt they are hell bent to exploit issues like establishment of Sainik and Pandit colonies.
For the first time after 2010, separatist leaders according to sources have also included imams of mosques in their programme.
A statement of Geelani group reads that "to understand and observe all the aspects of this issue (Sainik and Pandit colonies) the pro-freedom leadership are jointly organizing a daylong seminar on 12 June while as on 15 June, a joint silent protest demonstration will be held at Lal Chowk Srinagar which will be attended by the "people from all walks of life".
Geelani while rejecting the clarifications of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, said, "There is no doubt in this fact that this lady is extending her every possible help in the implementation of RSS agenda in Kashmir. The main objective of these agendas is to change the demographic character of the state and to gradually convert the Muslim majority into minorities."
"For this purpose the work has already started and the state subject certificates to the West Pakistan Refugees are being secretly issued and the doors have been opened to settle the non-locals in the Jammu region in the name of Dogra certificates. As far as the issue of construction of Sainik and Pandit colonies in the Kashmir Valley is concerned, there are no clear indications till now by the government that whether they are abandoning this project or not," the statement reads.
