Jammu, Jun 8: Acting on a specific input, a Police team headed by Sub-Inspector Vikas Jasrotia, I/C PP Kakryal under the supervision of Dr. Ashok Sharma, KPS SDPO Katra, Sumir Kotwal, KPS Addl.SP Katra and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, IPS SSP Reasi, laid special naka at Jhajjar Nallah and during checking/frisking, the police team succeeded in the recovery of 125 Poly Pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K excise liquor from the possession of two accused persons identified as Sanjay Singh (Auto driver) S/O Puran Singh R/O Dera Bhabbar Tehsil Reasi age 20 years and Narinder Singh S/O Bharat Singh R/O Dadoora Tehsil Katra District Reasi age 23 years who were on way towards Katra from Tikri side in an Auto bearing registration No.JK14B/1887. The accused persons have been arrested and recovered poly pouches of liquor have been seized. Auto bearing registration No. JK14B/1887 which was used for transportation of liquor has also been seized. In this connection, a case FIR No. 100/2016 U/S 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC stands registered at P/S Katra and investigation of the case is in progress. Accused Person Narinder Singh S/O Bharat Singh R/O Dadoora Tehsil Katra District Reasi was also arrested in case FIR No.33/2016 U/S 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC P/S Katra 03 months ago in which 42 poly pouches were recovered from his possession.
