Early Times Report Jammu, Jun 17: The district administration today said the situation is under control and closely being monitored with a close eye upon rumour mongers, who are hell bent to disturb the communal harmony within the region. "Situation is normal and very much under control across the winter capital, said Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh here, while interacting with the media persons at Press Club, Jammu. The DC further said, "As long as the security is required, the district administration has made elaborate arrangements to put a check on miscreants, who always are looking for opportunity to create wedge within the society. Earlier, the DC Jammu flanked with DIG Jammu Kathua Range, Ashkoor Wani and SSP Jammu, Dr Sunil Gupta interacted with mediapersons and also sought suggestions to tackle such crisis and to defuse highly tensed circumstances. Winter capital of the state Jammu has witnessed two 'desecration acts,' one at ancient Lord Shiva temple at Roop Nagar and another 'sacrilegious incident' at a temple in Nanak Nagar yesterday, resulting in tensions in the region. Meanwhile, the broad band services, which have been snapped after the Nanak Nagar desecration incident, have been restored from this morning, while the mobile internet services continued to be suspended for the third consecutive day. |
