Jan decries PDP-BJP for plunging Jammu in unprecedented power, water crisis 6/17/2016 11:29:29 PM Early Times Report jammu, June 17: Castigating PDP-BJP government for its callousness towards the people, especially those living in remote and far-off areas, Provincial Youth National Conference President Jammu Ajaz Jan today described current power and drinking water crisis as unprecedented. "The erratic power and drinking water supply, dilapidated condition of roads and poor utility services speak volumes about lack of will of the present insensitive government to serve the people", Jan said while addressing senior functionaries of the YNC. He made a special reference with regard to power curtailments across the Jammu region, especially in Poonch and Kalakote areas and said the people are feeling worse kind of helplessness. "How can this government be so insensitive in leaving people fending for themselves in unprecedented and severe summer months", he wondered. The former MLA sought a mechanism where under essential services are monitored on regular basis and corrective measures taken to ensure adequate supplies to the people. Former MLA, Mr Jan also expressed anguish over poor health services and lack of civic amenities to the people, hoping that the government will shun its lackadaisical attitude and concentrate on governance rather than creating hype over non-issues to divide the people for garnering political advantage.
