Jammu, June 17:Sleuths of Crime Branch Jammu have registered a case against Mohd Zubiar, who posed as Clerk in the Civil Secretariat and duped a man promising a government job. In a complaint received by the Crime Branch, the complainant informed that he came in contact with Mohammad Zubair, son of Abdullah, a resident of Thanamandi, Rajouri, who posed as a clerk in Civil Secretariat having close contacts with higher authorities and promised that he could get him a job in Jammu University and demanded Rs. 4.50 lakhs for the same. The complainant took loan from a bank and paid Rs. 3.50 lakhs to the accused but he neither provided the job nor refunded the money and then never attended phone calls made on his mobile numbers 9797392864 and 8715400522 by the complainant. During investigation, the Crime Branch found that the accused Mohammad Zubair had taken Rs 3.50 lakhs from the complainant on the promise of arranging a government job for his wife and had cheated him.Accordingly, a formal case was registered Mohammad Zubair in P/S Crime Branch, Jammu, for offences punishable under Sections 420, 406 RPC. |
