Kathua, June 17: Tehsildar Kathua today attracted criticism when he allegedly forced the complainant to withdraw his complaint against Revenue officials involved in infamous corruption case that rocked the Revenue department in Kathua.
For inept both Naib Tehsildars and Girdawar working in Tehsildhar office Kathua are facing trail in court of law on the basis of corruption charges.
"All the three officers who allegedly tampered the Revenue record of Rattan Chand shifted to an influence person and withdrew huge housing loan from SBI on the basis of fake documents, official sources said.
According to complainant Rattan Chand, annoyed over complainant against his subordinates, Tehsildar Kathua rushed on his house and pressurized him to withdraw the case against his subordinates.
"Tehsildar assured shifting of Gardwari (documents) to him if he withdraws the case filed against his tainted officers, he said.
Complainant Rattan Chand however has expressed his surprise overt the visit of District level officer to his home to settle the matter instead of initiating departmental inquiry against his subordinate tainted officers which itself shadows his own credentials. Meanwhile he expressed his gratitude to SSP Kathua Naveea Jain and SHO Kathua who investigated the charges and framed corruption charges against accused besides preceding the case to District court Kathua. "SSP Kathua not only listened to the voice of weaker sections but took action against revenue officer back their tainted officers, he added.
