Cong stages protest against erratic power, water supply 7/18/2016 11:01:37 PM Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, July 18: In protest against erratic power supply and scarcity of drinking water, the Congress today held a demonstration in village Nagrota and its surrounding areas. The protest demonstration was staged under the leadership of senior Congress leader Arun Sharma, who on the occasion also submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister through SDM, Vijaypur. The protesters raised slogans against PDD, PHE and CAPD Departments for unscheduled curtailments, scarcity of drinking water and irregular supply of ration among the beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion, Congress leader Arun Sharma said that a new tube well was dug by the department in 2013 but till date the tube well is non-functional due to which the people of the area are compelled to fetch water from wells which are far away from the village. Executive Engineer, PHE Vijaypur immediately on spot issued directions to solve the problems of the protesters at an earliest.
