jammu, July 18: With resentment growing from various quarters for incumbent lot of ministers, reshuffle within the BJP may happen with many heads likely to roll and change places in the ruling ally of alliance government in the state. This time it is the pressure mounting from sister organisations that will work in effecting changes in the ministerial berths allotted to BJP.
Sources said in view of constant and consistent complaints about the sitting ministers, New Delhi has taken a serious note of the suggestions that reshuffle was needed to bring in some order in terms of their 'desirable performance' in consonance with the political aspirations of the party and people of Jammu. The move can prove to be a punch fewministers of party with whom not only the state unit and workers are unhappy, but the sister organisations of BJP like VHP, Bajrang Dal etc have taken a serious view of certain decisions, indecisions and (mis)handling of some issues by the BJPministers despite being equal partners in the government, sources said.
Sources further said it has been conveyed to the Central leadership that some ministers in the party have paid little heed to sensitivities of the political issues in recent past that hit the party image, the latest being the Amarnath Yatra which has been badly affected by the ongoing turmoil in Kashmir Valley. The BJP ministers have not been able to ensure smooth conduct of Yatra , safety and hassle free movement of Yatries, sources said as party and the sister organisations having conveyed to New Delhi.
It happens every year around Yatra time that certain elements even within the government play their negative role for furthering their political interests in fomenting trouble. This year too yatries faced lot of hardships and it became somewhat conspicuous with BJP at the helm of affairs as it could not assert in administrative circles to ensure yatries do not suffer, sources said the party and sister organisations having taken serious cognizance of the lapses in Yatra and hardships faced by thousands of pilgrims with an 'unconcerned' lot of BJP ministers despite sharing power in the government.
The Deputy Chief Minister apart from others is also under line of fire as resentment has overgrown in recent past against him with everyone seeking his replacement in the echelons of power, sources said. The reshuffle may see drop of some incumbents and induction of some new faces from the BJP, sources said adding that this move will entail change of portfolios too which are with the BJP as ally in the government.
