| BJP Minister caught napping in Public grievance redressal meet | | | Early Times Report
jammu, July 18: A BJP Minister in the coalition Government had to face major embarrassment when he was caught napping during a public grievance redressal meeting in his home constituency where the people were apprising him about the issues faced by them.
The said BJP Minister was taken to task by the people for allegedly trying to befool them and they even threatened to boycott such occasions in near future because of such irresponsible behavior of their representative.
Reports said that the incident took place during the public meeting when a young villager was highlighting the local issues before the Minister. While narrating the matter, the said youth noticed that the minister on dais was actually taking a nap instead of listening to him.
Even as the youth raised his voice to ensure that the minister could listen to him, the latter even started snoring thus making the villagers feel virtually cheated in the name of grievance redressal meeting. Agitated over this non-serious conduct of the minister, the youth shouted and asked the former whether he was listening to him. Shouting of the youth awakened the minister and even on sensing his fault, he sought to claim that despite his eyes closed he was listening to the people. This further infuriated the youth who asked the minister to tell which issue he had highlighted.
Since the minister was actually in a sleep during the highlighting of issues, he failed to answer and quipped that everything has been noted down in the diary by his men. Even as the minister's response triggered laughter on the occasion, at the same time, people took the leader to task for his irresponsible behavior and attempting to befool the masses. |
