2-day mega health check-up held | | | Early Times Report SUNDERBANI, July 18: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, organised a two-day mega health check-up camp at Sunderbani area of Rajouri district. The camp held on the weekend witnessed an overwhelming participation from people of Rajouri. Around 480 patients were screened at the free screening and consultation camp of which 98 patients were referred for advanced treatment at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. S P Singh, Chief Executive Officer said, "The free health check screening comprised of cardiac and general health screening in other major specialties. It is our endeavor to make quality healthcare and specialist doctors accessible to more number of people in Jammu & Kashmir. As part of our social and outreach initiatives, we regularly conduct free health screening camps in remote districts of this region to create awareness about preventive health check and early detection of disease". The participants at the mega health screening camp also consulted the doctors for kidney related diseases, heart disease, bone & joint pain, brain & Neuro related diseases as well as cancer. More than 100 patients who attended the camp underwent further diagnoses. Mammography for breast cancer screening was done on 22 patients and free ECG was done for around 60 patients with suspected risk of heart disease at the camp. The team of doctors from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital comprised of Dr Rauf Tak, Physician, Dr Bhanu, Cardiologist and Dr Sumit, Medical Officer who relentlessly diagnosed and and provided free consultation to patients during the two days. |
