Jammu, July 18: A field visit was organized under the supervision of SDAO Marh, T K Attri to check the performance of hybrid maize crop at panchayats Ranjan, Ghaink and Jandyal in zone Bhalwal along with the field officers of the area. The farmers were told to adopt proper package and practices like weeding, earthing and application of proper doses of fertilizers to get optimum yield.
The farmers of these panchayats adopted line sowing method and are happy with the results as compared to the traditional method of broadcasting in which cost of cultivation is high.
