Jammu, July 18: Youth National Conference, the youth wing of National Conference, today held an important provincial body meeting at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu which was chaired by its provincial president Ajaz Jan.
All the provincial body chairperson of YNC took part in this meeting where some changes were made in the setup after approval from party patron Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah and Devinder Rana.
Among these changes Mati Ur Rehman was nominated as district president Youth Rajouri whereas Mohinder Singh Charak as provincial secretary Jammu province, Balbeer Singh Sambyal as joint secretary Jammu Province, Waqor Lone as secretary, Imran Goni as vice president of Jammu province, Rejeshwar Singh as provincial secretary Jammu province and Tajinder Pal Singh provincial secretary Jammu province.
Later addressing the meeting YNC Provincial President Ajaz Jan lambasted the state coalition government for its failure to put proper arrangements in place for Amarnath yatra and said that pilgrims are suffering due to ill planned arrangements made in Jammu. He also stated that government has mishandled the unrest in Kashmir and there is a complete situation of mistrust among people.
" Restriction on media is not a part of democracy and state government is now trying to hush up the voice of people " Jan said which is also a sign of failure of PDP- BJP Government.
He added that barred internet services puts barrier in student life and also disturbs tourists.
"People of Kashmir are facing lot of problems due to non-availability of basic amenities like food, water, electricity and medicines and on ground government is nowhere in Jammu and Kashmir, he further lambasted.
Others who spoke in the meeting include Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed , Jatinder Singh Chib.
