Narinder Singh calls for peace in state | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 18: S. Narinder Singh, Former Director Information and presently advisor Civil Defense Jammu urged the people of the state to maintain peace, communal harmony and brotherhood, in view of the prevailing unrest in Kashmir valley which had resulted in loss of lives and public property. As per press release, Singh said that whatever the cause of the turmoil may be, the need of the hour is to maintain the old age tradition of secularism and mutual understanding. The peace is the basic requirement for prosperity and development of the state. He urged upon the people to be cautious against the anti-national and disruptive forces who are bent upon to disturb peace and tranquility of the people of the state. However, he appealed to the people to work against such elements and foil their nefarious designs of weakening the country. Such elements are needed to be dealt with sternly by the administration and joint efforts of the people as a whole. People of the Kashmir from very beginning are peace loving. What to talk of guns, they have never carried sticks to harm anybody. It is only due to the nefarious designs of the enemy country and separatist forces the people of the state are suffering. He further said that media has to play a very important role in restoring the peace. |
