2 pick pocketers held, Rs 8000 recovered

Jammu, Sept 5: Satwari police today claimed to have arrested two pick pockets and recovered Rs 8000 cash which they stole from the pocket of a passenger in a minibus. Police spokesman said that today one Fathey Mohd son of Alif Din of Balol Pull Indra Nagar, Miran Sahib lodged a written report at Police Station Satwari that while he was travelling in a Matadoor from Jammu towards Gadi Garh then two unknown persons picked his pocket and cash Rs 8000 was stolen from his pocket. In this regard a case under FIR No. 172/2016 under section 379 of RPC has been registered registered at Satwari police station. Spokesman further said that Inspector Manjeet Singh along with ASI Ashiq Ali immediately swung into action and checking of vehicle was started immediately. "During checking two persons were apprehended who disclosed their names as Bilal Ahmed Shekh alias Billu son of Mohd Ashraf Shekh of Nohatta Srinagar presently at Sunjawan and Ajay Kumar alias Ajay son of Som Nath of Gopalpur Distt. presently at Sunjawan. The accused were identified by the complainant on spot", said spokesman adding that on their personal search recovered the stolen amount from their possession. The Recovery was made by Inspector Manjeet Singh SHO Satwari under the supervision of Shazad Salaria, SP City South, Jammu.
