Youth detained for carrying flags bearing 'anti India slogan' | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Aug 5: Police today claimed to have detained one youth hailing from Mendher of Poonch district at Chakka De Bagh Poonch soon after returned from Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK) alongwith some flags carrying anti India slogans. Police sources said, "The accused has been identified as Mohd Sadiq son of Sher Mohd of village Chak Banola in Mendher tehsil in Poonch district had gone to PoK.' Sources said that the youth was detained when he arrived from at Chakan-da-Bagh along with five poster carrying slogan "Kashmir Banega Pakistan" (Kashmir will become Pakistan). "Mohd Sadiq as per reports had gone to PoK in Cross LoC Bus Service to meet family members of his divided family, sources said. They said, "After spending allotted days, the youth was returning to Mendher today when he was detained by the police at Chakan-da-Bagh with five posters bearing obnoxious slogans. According to sources, the poster belongs to a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (headed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief) namely Ch Mohd Aziz who recently had contested election from Assembly constituency No.16 Haveli for the PoK Assembly. "As the posters were carrying the objectionable slogan like "Kashmir Banega Pakistan', Mohd Sadiq was detained for questioning" said a police officer. Sources said Mohd Sadiq has informed the police that he was not aware about the posters and might have kept by the relatives while packing gift items for him. Police have not registered any case yet and waiting for further questioning by the senior police officers and intelligence agencies. |
