Jammu, Sept 5: Vishavjeet bagged gold in the 200 meters event of under-18 boys group in the two-day 14th State Athletics Championship which was organised by the J&K Amateur Athletics Association at MA Stadium, here. The second place in the same group went to Rahul Singh while Harneet Singh remained third. In the finals and prize distribution function, Commissioner Excise, Tsering Angchok was chief guest. Among others present were Rangail Singh, Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Raj Daluja, Dr Nirmolak Singh, Ravinder Singh, Sunil Mahajan, Vikas Gupta, Sidharth Daluja, Naresh Tony, Rajan Sharma, Ravi Singh, SS Gill, Vinod Kumar Bhatia, Ajay Sharma, Sahil Raina, Nirmal Singh and Amarjeet Singh.
While speaking on the occasion , Commissioner Excise, Tsering Angchok appreciated and encouraged all the players and also said that special package of Rs. 200 crore announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also engage youth of the state in constructive sporting activities

BOYS: 200 mts: Under 16: Amarjeet, Ist; Sahil Kumar, 2nd and Abid, 3rd. Under-18: Vishavjeet, Ist; Rahul Singh, 2nd and Harneet Singh, 3rd. Under-20: Mohd Ishtaq, Ist; Tarun, 2nd and Ishan, 3rd.
Relay 4x400 mtrs: Abhinav, Kulbir, Imtaz, Lavjeet, Ist; Ranjay, Rahul Chauhan, Koushal, Angrez Singh, 2nd and Sahil, Asaf, Jhangir, Owaiss, 3rd.
