3 killed in two separate road mishaps | | | Tahir Mushtaq Early Times Report Ramban, Sept 21: Three killed, whereas four other injured in two separate road accidents on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway between Ramban-Banihal this morning. Station House Officer (SHO) Banihal Nazir Ahmed Dar with his police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. According to the police officials an alto vehicle bearing registration JK13B-7257 was on the from Jammu to Srinagar skidded off from the road and fell into 100 feet deep gorge near Shabanbass area of Banihal. The deceased has been identified as Showkat Ahmed son of Abdul Aziz and Mufid Ahmed son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din while injured persons identified as Mohammad Akbar Lone son of Satar Lone and Mohammad Shafi son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Naik all residents of district Pulwama. The injured persons shifted to Sub District Hospital Banihal after which they were referred to Srinagar after giving medical treatment. A case has been registered under FIR No. 129/2016 279/337/304 ARPC at Police station Banihal. Meanwhile, a truck which was on the way from Jammu to Srinagar bearing registration no JK01D-7335 skidded off the road and fell into 400 feet deep gorge resulting in on spot death of one person namely Nayeem Ahmed son of Ghulam Nabi Wani resident of Khannabal. After getting information Station Police Officer (SHO) Ramban Naveen Angral with QRT of police, SDRF, Red Cross Ramban and army personnel from 109 INF Battalion (TA) Maratha LI reached on accident spot and started a joint rescue operation in which they rescued two injured persons namely Irfan Ahmed and Maajid Ahmed both son of Habibullah and resident of Khannabal. A case has been registered in this regard. |
