J&K not Quebec, it is Indian | Disinformation campaign | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 21: India-baiter and pro-Pak and pro-Kashmiri separatist Mumbai-based AG Noorani has unleashed a no holds-barred disinformation campaign to mislead the nation. On the one hand, he has shamelessly equated Sri Aurobindo Ghose and S Bhagat Singh, great freedom fighters, with Pak agents, fanatics and mercenaries Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz and murderer Yasin Malik, and, on the other hand, has termed Jammu and Kashmir a disputed territory and asked New Delhi to treat Jammu and Kashmir at Par with Quebec and hold referendum there to ascertain the Kashmiris' opinion on the status of the state. Noorani shamelessly said that if Sri Aurobindo Ghose and S Bhagat Singh were not terrorists, Geelani, Mirwaiz and Yasin Malik also could not be termed terrorists, They are, like Ghose and Singh, freedom fighters. Nonsense. Ghose and Singh were great patriots. They all through fought against British Imperialism and worked for the Indian independence. They suffered extensively at the hands of the cruel British Government. Bhagat Singh even laid down his life for the cause of the country. The British were foreigners and their struggle was directed against them. As far as Geelani and Co are concerned, they are seditionists; they are attacking the Indian state through unruly mobs and jihadis and want Kashmir to go out of India. J&K is not India's colonies; J&K was, and is, an integral part of India and since times immemorial. Indeed, Geelani and Co are terrorists and seditionists who need to be booked and brought to justice. Noorani wants New Delhi to treat J&K at par with Quebec. "The referenda in Quebec, apart from Scotland, provide a good instruction. Scotland's demand from secession fro the UK is not dubbed treason. Similar is the case with Quebec," he says. Noorani is only distorting history to please his masters and mint easy money. The problem is that there is none in New Delhi who could counter his disinformation campaign and tell the nation that Quebec or Scotland are not J&K. It's because of the failure of the Indian-think tanks that Noorani and the like have been able to carry on their disinformation campaign. There is the need for New Delhi to unleash a counter campaign to set the record straight and call the bluff of Noorani and others of his ilk. |
