SSH Jammu 'seriously ill,' BJP in 'comma' | | | Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 21: The BJP came to power in the state by projecting itself as well wisher of people of Jammu, but it's fast exposing itself as yet another power-hungry party that only believes in hoodwinking people for votes. Take the example of Super Speciality Hospital (SSH) Jammu. For the past one week, the hospital stands paralysed and patients have been left at God's mercy. However, not a single BJP minister or MLA has bothered to know the condition of patients. Penitently, the incumbent Minister for Health and Medical Education Department claimed at a public gathering recently that his focus was to bring the health sector back on track. He however maintains a meaningful silence on the situation prevailing in SSH Jammu. A senior doctor of the hospital told Early Times that few officials of the Health and Medical Education Department were hand-in-glove with some private hospitals. To boost their business, the Health officials do not take interest in the affairs of the SSH Jammu. Feeling helpless in front of patients, some doctors said the attendants have been visiting one office after another but they are asked to approach the Health Minister. The attendants are worried about their patients and their all pleas have fallen on deaf ears. Slamming the indifferent behaviourof the Health officials, the doctors alleged that administration of the hospital seemed unbothered and were only organizing meetings and have failed to end the crises. "If anyone visits government hospitals particular in Jammu city, one finds huge hoardings of the Health Minister. Huge money is spent on the publicity, but the department has no funds for patientcare in the hospitals," the doctors said. |
