School owner arrested for sending lewd messages to teacher 9/21/2016 10:14:33 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 21: In its endeavor to curb crime against working women, Bari Brahmana police claimed to have arrested an owner of a private school allegedly for sending vulgar and obscene messages to a female teacher working in his school. "The accused has been identified as Surjit Singh (50) owner of Model School Bari Brahmna, police said. Quoting the complainant (name withheld), police sources said, "In her complaint, the 21-year-old teacher alleged that she had been working in the school for the last few months. "Initially, the accused, on several occasions tried to touch her inappropriately, the complainant stated, further adding, "Later he (accused) started sending her lewd messages." Initially she ignored everything because he was the owner of the School, she stated and added later the accused crossed all his limits. Thence she narrated everything to her family members who advised her to register a complaint with the police in this regard. After receiving formal complaint, the police immediately took cognizance and arrested the accused who currently is under police custody.
