Police foil bovine smuggling bid in Rajpura 9/21/2016 11:18:36 PM Early Times Report SAMBA, Sept 21: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with rescue of five bovines animals which were being smuggled while the manhunt is on to nab the absconding accused who managed to give slip to police during a naka checking at Ghagwal of Samba district. Police said, "the Police Party headed by SI Ashish Sagar, Incharge PP Rajpura signaled a Mahindra bearing registration No JK08D 3886 to stop signal while moving towards Kathua.' "The driver of the said vehicle instead of stopping the vehicle sped up and broke the barricade at naka, accordingly the vehicle was chased, police said, adding, "the driver of the vehicle abandoned his vehicle on Bai Nallah and fled away from the spot." "Police seized the abandoned vehicle and recued five bovines which were recovered from the from above said Mahindra vehicle, police said .
