RET forum demands release of SSA salary, arrears a, regularization of ReTs | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, Oct 2: A monthly meeting of All J&K ReT Teachers' Forum on Sunday held at Udhampur under the chairmanship of state President Vinod Sharma and district president Lekh Raj Parihar .The meeting was attended by a large number of executive members of all the eleven zones of the district. While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma highlighted the issue of SSA salary which is still pending for last 2 to 3 months and SSA teachers are suffering a lot as they are unable to provide basic amenities like food and clothing to their children and medicines to their ailing parents. He said that SSA salary is a chronic issue and the department has failed to streamline the same and even there is also a huge pendency of pay arrears, DA arrears, 6th pay commission arrears etc. But instead of streamlining the SSA salary issue the department is utilising huge funds out of SSA on training of thousands of teachers . He said that the Forum is not against such in service training of teachers but what is the fun of such trainings when the teachers are suffering for the want of Salary even on the festival season like Navratras , Karva chouth , Dewali etc which is matter of great concern and the Government and the department must make provision for the early release SSA salary and huge pendency of pay arrears, DA arrears etc so that these teachers may not suffer any more otherwise the forum would be forced to gherao SPD office and come on roads by locking their schools and for this extreme step the Government and the department would be responsible for the consequences as they have fed up by raising this issue from bottom to top. He also expressed great concern on the slow pace of regularisation process and appealed the Director School Education Jammu Smita Sethi to issue the regularisation orders of the ReTs whose objections have been cleared and the files are in the Directorate for a long time and also appealed her to regularise all the ReTs with distance mode degrees of all UGC recognized Universities and those having less enrolment . Meanwhile JKRET Forum also demanded the implementation of High Court order regarding transfer of regularized ReTs and said that those already transferred not be harassed any more. Meanwhile JKRET Forum has supported the protest of Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum at DSEJ and appealed the government to listen to their grievances. Others who also spoke during the meeting were:- Sukhdev Singh Sumbria , Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Ashok Seth , Pritam Goswami , Chain Singh , Shamsher Singh , Vipin Sharma , Anil Sharma , Rekha Thakur , Jai Parkash and others. |
