JAMMU, Oct 02: A senior police officer has ordered the transfer of a police post head following complaints of professional 'misconduct' against him and posted him as IO in a police station.
He headed a police post as its incharge in Jammu north, but now has been shifted to Jammu south as IO in a police station, according to police sources. Sources said the senior officer had also asked the SHO concerned to teach him work during his stay at the police station. The decision to shift him was taken by the senior officer after he verified the complaints against him and found them correct, the sources added.
Though there was some pressure on the senior officer from certain quarters to again post him as a police post incharge somewhere in Jammu city, he refused, saying 'he still needs to learn a lot about policing'. "As and when he learns it, he will be posted as police post incharge," the officer said. He was said to be politically well connected. |
