Attendants protest against lack of facilities at SSH 10/3/2016 12:03:17 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 2: Outraged at Air Conditions not working and scarcity of drinking water at Super Specialty Hospital (SSH) here, scores of attendants staged a massive protest outside the hospital here on Sunday night. Protestors blocked the main gate of the Super Specialty Hospital Jammu (SSHJ) and later blocked the main road outside alleging that half of departments and machineries are dysfunctional in the hospital. Sources said that for past more than 20 days authorities have failed to streamline the functioning of the hospital which has put lives of patients at risk. Protestors alleged that AC Plants, Elevators (lifts), Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) and other machineries are dysfunctional in the SSHJ for more than 20 days and the matter has been brought into the notice of the Principal of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) and the Health Minister but they have failed to restore all services in the hospital putting lives of patients at risk. "Patients are suffering. There is humidity all over the hospital as there is no cross ventilation," alleged one of the attendant adding that there is acute scarcity of drinking water in the hospital.
