| Chenab Valley that lights whole state is itself without electricity | | Upcoming of winter shutdown of electricity continues | | Early Times Report
Bunjwah, Dec 11: Erstwhile Doda district known as Chenab valley comprising of three districts including Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar, which are naturally decorated regions of state J&K. Despite tall claim made by Dy Chief Minister and Power Development Department Minister Nirmal Singh and in providing better supply of electricity and maintaining curtailment schedule during hours to hours in Chenab valley vows only in public meetings and rallies and offices of Ministers as reality differs to its fiction as no improvement came to be seen on ground.
Chenab valley a naturally decorated region in Jammu and Kashmir having its own status as this valley is having evergreen forests, springs, tourist spots, rivers and moderate climate and many more . But unfortunately the state government and district administration has neglected this valley on each and every patterns of development.
Despite the efforts central government/state government in construction of Hydro Electric Power projects (electricity) in this valley including Baghilar power project,
Dul Hasti power project, Chowdary power project and many others are under construction. But residents of this valley have only the name of these projects as they are not provided the electricity from these projects.
Bunjwah is a part of Chenab valley in district Kishtwar of Inderwal Constituency having population near about thirty five thousand (35000) and is having many natural beauties and major tourist spots as beautiful as Patnitop, Phalgam, Sonamarg, and other parts of the state . The Chowdary Power Project (CPP) situated at Dunadi and was constructed in the year 2003-04.
.The land acquired for this said project belongs to residents of Pashalla and Dunadi areas of Tehsil Bunjwah. During construction of this project the land owners were promised by concerned agencies/administration that they will provided employment/ job in said project. It was also promised that the land compensation shall be given to them by concerned department and the government should provide electricity free of cost.
But unfortunately, the promise of concerned agencies/administration are declared fake as more than 10years passed away and nothing has done by administration on ground .
Informing this media person land owners and inhibitants of Pashalla , Dunadi and Bunjwah said '' that no one has provided job , no free electricity and even though the electricity is provided over flat rate charges more than 325 said one Noor Mohd of Pashalla.
Meanwhile various social activists had demanded personal intervention of CM Mehbooba Mufti , Dy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh to take their interest in directing concerned officers for immediate repairing of old wires and installation of iron poles and maintaining electricity during winter so as public shall take sigh of relief otherwise strong demonstration shall be observed in front of main gate of secretariat in favour of their demands . |
