Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 11: In a glaring incident of ungratefulness and official deceit, a person who donated his private land for construction of a government school is now running from pillar to post to retrieve it back following closure of the school and instead of appreciating the generosity of the man is continuously creating hurdles in the process, despite abandoning the school building and making it safe haven for the drug addicts in the area. Talking to Early Times, the victim Dwarka Nath Khajuria said that in 1992 he donated a plot for the purpose of construction of government primary school at Bana Chak, Hira Nagar Kathua. "I donated this piece of land to the government for the purpose of construction of government school, but in November last year the said school was clubbed under order No CEOK of 2015 date 3.11.2015," he said and added that since the school stopped functioning, he demanded return his land, but the concerned authorities are creating unnecessary hurdles. Khajuria said that the matter was also brought to the notice of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kathua who in turn directed Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Hiranagar to take necessary action, however, till date no concrete measures were taken to retrieve my land to me. "I am running from pillar to post for the possession of my own land which was not properly utilized for the noble purpose it was donated for," Khajuria said. |
