| Kapil Kak ignorant about Kashmir problem | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 11: Yaswant Sinha of BJP and his gang of five are again in Srinagar and they say they had come to meet the people of Kashmir and understand them and the nature of problem the country has been facing since decades. The delegation reached Srinagar for the second time in two months. The Yashwant's team said their second visit was, in fact, a continuation of the previous visit and its objective is to "move forward on the dialogue process and mobilize the support" for it in Kashmir.
However, it is former Vice Air Marshal Kapil Kak, a Delhi-based Kashmiri or whatever one terms him, who has issued a highly disgusting statement. He has nothing to do with the community to which he belongs - the community which has been living in exile in Jammu and elsewhere in the country for more than two decades now. He, in fact, hates his own community to establish a chord with those in Kashmir who ousted the Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley. His whole approach is Kashmiri centric. "The latest visit is continuation by us to understand the problem and its complexities from the people who are affected".
"In the rest of India, the Kashmir problem is not understood in its psychological and complex and historical perspective, that is heart of the problem," Kak said. Our concentration now is much more outside Srinagar because last time our visit was focused on Srinagar. This time the purpose is to have a series of meetings in south and north Kashmir …The aim is to ensure that we move forward on dialogue process and mobilize the support for the dialogue process," he was quoted as saying.
It is surprising that Kak is not aware of the nature of problem in Kashmir. No one would trust him. For, everyone in the country and the state, and more especially the internally-displaced Kashmiri Pandits , know that the problem in Kashmir is patently extremism and neither political nor economic and that the Kashmiri s belonging to a particular section of the society and controlling the levers of power since 1947 want another communal partition of India. It doesn't require a rocket science to understand what is behind the unrest in Kashmir and who have been guiding the gullible Kashmiris.
Yashwant Sinha and his gang need to visit Jammu and Ladakh to know the nature of the problem in Kashmir. For, they and the nation are the immediate victims, but they will not come because they will get exposed and condemned.
The state BJP must take the people of the state into confidence and tell them who sponsored the visits of Yashwant Sinha and who is footing the bill. |
