Jammu, Dec 11: The BJP high command has reportedly taken a serious note of the role of some central leaders deputed to look after the party affairs in JK. A strong section in the party, according to the sources, wants to replace Ram Madhav, as party's point man for JK. Party sources said a strong section of the party believes that some of the leaders who have grown from the ranks of Sangh, and are supposed to know the ground realities to safe-guard the interests of the party, have apparently lost the way. "Ram Madhav had some strong idea of the state and it is for this reason that he was roped in for the government formation in JK. He was also roped in for finalizing the agenda-of-alliance. But, he has not only lost the way but he is not even connecting himself to the grass root level workers especially about the view of the Sangh. He has failed to understand and espouse the sensitivities of the Jammu region," said a senior BJP leader. The BJP central leadership has been apprised about the recent flip[-flops of the party's point man and also how it's hurting the party's cause. "The recent statement of the Ram Madhav was in total contradiction of stand of the Modi government. Secondly, he visits JK only to assess the situation only after pressing exigencies. Party leaders have started believing that he is getting increasingly blinded by his pre-conceived ideas and notions which are neither helping the alliance partner (PDP) but are hurting the BJP more in the Jammu as in the absence of the clear direction, the local leadership is not only leaderless but also rudderless and there is strong need to change this trend," said the senior leader. |
