jammu, Dec 21 : High court judge Alok Aradhe today quashed the compulsory retirement order of a chief engineer and five others.
Terming them deadwood, the government had ordered the premature retirement of incharge CE Prem Nath, AEE Javed Iqbal, Dr Manoj Bhagat, then superintendent of Kathua hospital, Tarsem Lal, then CEO, Jammu, patwari Padam Dev Sharma and VLW Parshotam Kumar Sharma. A total of 29 petitions were listed, but six were heard at length and decided. Justice Aradhe, after hearing the two sides, quashed the order of compulsorily retirement of six and directed state to reinstate them and award all consequential benefits within one month from today. Terming them deadwood, the government had ordered their premature retirement some time back. (JNF) |
