Asiya Andrabi ridiculed for publicity stunt on social media | People question her visiting graveyard | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 21: Asiya Andrabi, chairperson of the radical separatist outfit Dukhtaran-e-Milat (DeM) on Wednesdayinvited scathing attacks on social media after she uploaded a picture of her visiting a graveyard in Srinagar. Asiya was Wednesday released from detention. Soon after her release she rushed to 'Martyrs' Graveyard Eidgah, Srinagar. As she along with her comrades clicked pictures of the visit and uploaded them on social media in a bid to gain publicity, her move proved counterproductive. Castigation and condemnation was all what was seen on social media against Asiya's desperation for publicity. "How could a woman visit a graveyard? It is against the Islamic values and Islam has prohibited it. How could Asiya Andrabi visit the graveyard and upload pictures of the same on social media," was how one netizen pointed out the issue. Asiya was lodged in police station Rambagh, Srinagar under section 107 and 151 of Ranbir Penal Code when she was released from Baramulla jail on Friday. She was earlier slapped with PSA. There were several other comments made against this pro-Pak separatist over undermining Islamic values for publicity. It was maintained by the majority of the netziens that separatists while losing ground in Valley every day after have now involved themselves in the tricks to gain publicity and stay relevant. "Otherwise, the DeM chief who is known to claim that she is the only woman with Islamic values would have never done anything that goes against her own religion," commented another netizen. There were several others who claimed that if it was Islamic to visit graveyards, why till date hasn't Asiya Andrabi ever paid any visit to the graveyard. "It is only now that she is trying to project herself as the separatist with Islamic ideology. However, the act has caused ripples in her claims." Pertinently, Asiya has so far been a vocal supporter of Pak based militant groups and has been seeking support for them. She also happens to be the separatist in contact with the Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Sayeed- seeking help from him to liberate Kashmir. She has done every attempt to radicalise the youth in Kashmir Valley and align them with global terror networks. However, after failing in her attempts, she has made graveyards in Kashmir a new hub to gain publicity. She has been criticised for trying to change the traditional liberal culture of the Kashmir valley into an extremist Islamist culture. Asiya has been criticised for inciting the Kashmiri youth to Jihad and "freedom fight" against India, while her own son is pursuing higher studies in Malaysia on an Indian passport. |
