| GMC, NGO-CANKIDS gives cancer affected children special moments | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 24: In a bid to give them a reason to smile Department of Pediatrics, SMGS Hospital, Govt medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu in collaboration with CANKIDS an NGO working for children with cancer celebrated Christmas in Pediatrics Cancer Ward (W- 16) here today.
Prof Dr Zahid Gillani Principal & Dean Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu was the chief guest on this occasion who recently has inaugurated the Pediatrics Cancer Ward which was recently converted to a child friendly ward. During the ceremony organized with active support of CANKIDS, the Chief guest distributed Christmas gifts to all the patients and also interacted with them. Principal GMC Jammu Dr Gilani during interaction with his colleagues said one can't even imagine how much happiness one gets while he/she cause happiness to others. He also thanked top the CANKIDS an NGO for organizing such an occasion for children suffering with cancer. Among other prominent present on this occasion were Dr Dara Singh Medical Superintendent SMGS Hospital, Dr G S Saini Prof & Acting Head Deptt. of Pediatrics, Dr Sanjeev Digra Associate Prof & I/C Pediatric Cancer Ward , Dr Mohd Razaq, Dr Javed Iqbal, Dr Minakshi Kotwal, Dr Arun Gandotra, Dr Koushal Khajuria and Dr Ajay Choudhary.
All were appreciative for the sincere efforts made by Suruchi Sharma Councillor Pediatric Cancer Ward & CANKIDS for making Pediatric cancer ward a child friendly ward. |
