After a long delay the Sports Council has woken up to hold the coaching camp cum competition under Khelo India scheme. Khelo India is an initiative of Modi Government which was taken up for the development of sports in the country and the grants were provided in advance. Reliable sources said the same competitions were scheduled to be held before 20th August and a fixture was also released for the same but these competitions were delayed twice due to the lackadaisical attitude of the officials of the Sports Council. While talking to Early Times Joint Secretary JKSSC, Shiv Kumar Sharma, said, "The competitions would commence from 27th December. The same were scheduled to be held on 15th December thereafter these were delayed for seven days and but we had to reschedule the date again due to some technical errors. The screening tests will start from 27th December and thereafter the competitions will take place in different categories."
