NMC hopes balanced budget in upcoming session | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 24: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri has hoped that upcoming state budget for the year 2017-18 will be balanced budget which will give enough room for all sections of the society of the state to mitigate their problems. Interacting with media persons here, Shastri while giving his opinion on the upcoming budget which is likely to presented in the state Assembly on 7th of January 2017 by the State Finance Minister, urged him to comprehensively provide sufficient financial resources for the implementing the recommendations of the 7th pay commission in favor of state Govt. employees and pensioners and proper announcement to that effect may be made in the budget document. "States like Uttar Pradesh and uttrakhand despite their dire condition of financial constraints have already announced implementation of 7th pay commission, the State of Jammu & Kashmir should not now delay the said."Shastri added. Shastri once again reiterated that further delay in this regard will pile up financial implications further which in turn will pose very complex and difficult problems for the state government. Expressing confidence in the Chief Minister and Finance Minister's qualities of leaderships and caliber Shastri further hoped that immense professional of the present finance minister will see to the generation of resources and revenues for the regularization of 62,000 daily rated workers contributing to maintenance the essential utility services in the state. "Since the NDA Govt. at the Centre has fixed the minimum wage at the rate of rupee three hundred fifty per day the same yard yardstick should be applied for payment of daily rated workers of both organized and unorganized sector "Shastri said. |
