| Labourers being ill-behaved by concerned departments | | | Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Dec 24: Although central government is providing uncountable facilities to the common labourer, but in Poonch officials of the concern department are not behaving well with the laborers. According to the sources, on Friday a deputation of Laboure Union Poonch lead by President Mohammed Iqbal, vice president Tahir Shah called on Javid Reshi, the chairman of Insaaf Movement at their office in Poonch and informed him all about the problems. They while speaking on the occasion said that the "labour Sarai" is using as office of the department while labourers are under the naked sky. They further said that the labour shed at bus stand Poonch is being using by traders while the labourers are much ignored. They said the labourers are not provided the blankets for previous three consecutive years too. They further said they have called on deputy commissioner Poonch many times during this period, but all in vain. Iqbal said, "On 6th of December last year they met with DC Poonch to discuss the issue but after assurance DC didn't take any initiative right now. They appealed to Javid Reshi, to take the matter strongly before district administration for the justice with the labourers. Reshi on the occasion assured them that he will take this matter to DC Mohammed Harun Malik and hoped he will solve all related issues of labourers. Reshi said DC Poonch knows the problems of labourers well. Sources said secretary of the movement Mohammed Rashid was also present on the occasion. |
