MENDHAR, Dec 24: A massive fire is said to have broken out in the dense forests of Kalaban near here.
According to locals, flames had engulfed Danna, Calozer, Nagalban, Shikargah and Chhatral pockets of Kalaban forests. Fire broke out in one of the pockets last night and soon spread to other areas, they said.
The forest department was in the process of making arrangements to extinguish flames that were said to be spreading fast to the adjoining forests, locals said. |
