| "Kids Planet Akhnoor Celebrates Annual Prize Distribution Function" | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 24: Kids Planet Public School, Akhnoor today celebrated its Annual prize distribution ceremony . The school premises was abuzz with music and excitement as the parents gathered to witness their children performance on the theme "Wonder World of Cartoons". The programme kick-started with lighting of the lamp followed by a soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana.
The school Principal, Mona Gupta warmly greeted the gathering and read the school annual report , which traced the long strides and significant progress made during this session by KPPS.. The school was privileged by the presence of the revered Vice President JKPCC & Former Minister Congress Sham Lal Sharma, who was the chief guest on the occasion .
Chief Guest Sham Lal Sharma, along with the Chairperson Rohit Gupta and Principal, Mona Gupta felicitated Meritorious students for their outstanding achievements in different competitions held throughout the year.
Speaking on the occasion,Sham advocated for introduction of Dogri subject in the schools from the elementary level as the language has been included in the 8th Schedule. He said the language should get its prominence at all levels. He also stressed that teachers & parents should freely interact with their children in local language to promote it.
Sham Sharma also emphasized that besides academics and sports,students are showing their talents in various other categories,so to exhibit their output all the institutions organise annual functions, educational trips and various intra and inter school competitions. |
