| NN Vohra urged to wake up over irregularities, corruption, nepotism in JU: NSF | | VC feeds wrong info, misleads civil society | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 24: While questioning the wisdom of Chancellor of the Jammu University, NN Vohra, the National Secular Forum (NSF) has urged the Chancellor to wake up from deep slumber and immediately set the things right in Jammu University and also take to task Vice Chancellor, who is misleading higher authorities' vis-à-vis policy decisions, during the every Meeting.
NSF State President Vikas Sharma said in a statement that Vice Chancellor Prof R.D.Sharma seems to be above law in the eyes of government and the Chancellor of the University who have brushed aside the outbursts of VC which was nothing short of treachery and seditious act on his part and he should have been sacked from the chair of Vice Chancellor for encouraging and supporting the voice of anti national elements as well as separatists spearheaded so called pro freedom movement putting the lives of commoners in the valley in tough predicament for over four months after July 8.
He said that Vice Chancellor is in the bad habit of dubbing those raising voice against irregularities and wrong doings as black mailers whereas he himself is a big fraud and black mailers having committed numbers of scams protecting the wrong doers under his control. He specifically made a reference to the cancellation of interview of Assistant Registrars in which his own daughter was involved as she did not fall within the merit to get appointed as Assistant Registrar.
Instead of sending the matter to Crime Branch for detailed investigation about the reasons promoting the Vice Chancellor to hurriedly disbanding the whole process of interview for the post of Assistant Registrar, he made all the efforts to hush up the case just to save his skin by dodging the Chancellor as well as the Government.
Vikas Sharma also said," Vice Chancellor Prof Ramji Dass Sharma is busy in implementing his own ideas while ignoring the set norms, statutes and University Calendar. He recently made permanent appointment of three persons as Assistant Professors in Department of Lifelong Learning against two posts. This is unprecedented in the history of Jammu University. But surprisingly, the office of Chancellor kept quiet and didn't take notice."
Ridiculing the fake forum invented by Prof R.D.Sharma to support wrong doing of Vice Chancellor Kashmir when black sheets on the mirrors of vehicle belonging to Kashmir University by removed by police in Udhampur district recently, Vikas Sharma snubbed Prof R.D.Sharma for joining hands with the wrong doers as he himself is a perpetrator of number of omissions and commissions in Jammu University. He pointed out that how come Prof R.D.Sharma claim other forum/ organizations as fake and fraud which are always raising the issuing pertaining the students fraternity as well as the teaching staff within the tacit intention to streamline the system and punish those committing irregularities of which Prof R.D.Sharma himself is accomplice and party.
He challenged Vice Chancellor Prof Sharma to come forward and expose the fakeness of any organization spearheading the crusade against the wrong doings being constantly committed by the university administration under the nose of Vice Chancellor Jammu University, but he does not have the grits and guts to do so for the reasons well known to VC.
Sharma also revealed that the Vice Chancellor clandestinely introduced the clause of PRC (Permanent Resident) in the appointment of Deputy Registrars in Jammu University and he took the matter clandestinely to Syndicate as well as which shows that Vice Chancellor is supreme authority, and the University bodies i.e. Council and Syndicate are merely rubber-stamps to approve all the illegal decisions of the Vice Chancellor.
He asked that so many illegal things were happening in the University and the governor House was getting all the inputs of the same. Despite that, the Chancellor was not taking any action against the Vice Chancellor. "Why is Chancellor silent? What is his compulsion? Why he has not initiated any action in this regard? All these questions raise suspicion in the minds of people. This is the high time that Chancellor shall take the action against JU authorities and snub the Vice Chancellor to stop his non-sense," he said.
Later, Vikas Sharma appealed the Chief Minister as well as Governor of the State who are Pro-Chancellor and Chancellor of Jammu University to constitute a full-fledged enquiry committed involving the investigating agencies of the State to look into and probe the irregularities took place during the two years tenure of Prof R.D Sharma VC to unearth the truth of issues raised by National Secular Forum.
He added that in case it is found that NSF has no grounds to raises issues against the university administration headed by Prof R.D Sharma as Vice Chancellor, NSF is ready to face all the consequences, he challenged. |
