| EP Tenants Welfare Society seeks ownership rights | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 3: Evacuee Property Tenants Welfare Society, Jammu Province held an executive body meeting under the presidentship of Jyoti Vaid in which several issued pertaining to the tenants of evacuee property were discussed.
Speaking in the meeting, Jyoti Vaid informed that Society members have decided to meet the Lt Governor, GC Murmu and submitted a memorandum regarding the ownership rights of tenants of evacuee property. She said that the Society will apprise the Lt Governor about the harassment being meted out to the tenants by the authorities concerned with any purpose. The Society members have presented a resolution in the meeting for terminating Suraj Parkash, nominated Patron of the Society, from the Society for his anti-Society activities.
Pertinent to mention here that a news-item of EP tenants was published in the local daily which was held under the chairmanship of Suraj Parkash in which not a single member of the Evacuee Property Tenants Welfare Society participated except Suraj Parkash. The Society members have unanimously expelled Suraj Parkash from the Society and he has no legal right to use the banner of Evacuee Property Tenants Welfare Society, Jammu Province in near future. |
