Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 17: The Revenue Department has allegedly tampered the land records to facilitate encroachment of state land here by none other than former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah. According to sources, one Mohammad Sadiq has filed a complaint with the Prime Minister's Office alleging that the Revenue Department has shown in its records that the land on which Abdullah's mansion stands at Bathindi, Jammu is a private land. The land, the complainant says, actually belongs to the state. Taking cognizance of the complaint which has been filed through online grievance cell of the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs has asked Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir to take appropriate action. "Dr. Farooq Abdullah had encroached state land measuring more than five kanals under khasra no.6 of village Bathindi in Jammu district and constructed his mansion on it illegally," the complaint reads.
