Geelani continues to roam free, Hurriyat dares Govt to arrest him
We are hopeful that Mufti will act: BJP
Asif Iqbal Naik5/4/2015 3:14:38 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, May 3: Three days after Pakistani flags were waved during a rallly by Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani in Tral, the J&K government has failed to arrest him. The Huriyat termed the statement of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that he will take action against Geelani as his 'frustration' and added that raising Pakistani flag is not a new thing in Kashmir. "Waving of Pakistani flags in Kashmir has showed the affection of youths towards Pakistan," the Hurriyat leader said. The government on Saturday said that it will not allow Geelani's "provocative speeches which lead to serious law and order problems in the Valley" and assured action against Geelani for his pro-Pakistan rally at Tral on Friday. "The government feels that whenever Geelani is allowed to address a gathering at any place, it is followed by a provocative speeches and stone pelting, leading to serious law and order problem. We will not allow it to happen. We will not allow him to disturb peaceful atmosphere of Jammu and Kashmir. If he continues his anti-...

Amarnath yatra will go on come what may
Mufti's right response.............
5/4/2015 12:35:25 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, May 3: PDP founder and J&K CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has done well to snub Pakistani agent Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who poked his communal nose in the religious affairs of the Hindus at Tral on Friday and asked the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) and state government to restrict the Yatra period to 15 days or to a maximum period of 30 days. Geelani had advanced the same ridiculous and provocative arguments against the Yatra he had advanced in 2008 and earlier as well. He had said the Yatra posed a threat to Kashmir's environment and ecology. He had even said that the Government of India had planned to create Hindu settlements near the Shrine to change the Kashmi...

Early Times Report JAMMU, May 3: Newly appointed president of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) G A Mir has so far addressed 36 conventions all over the State after his appointment as PCC chief on March 3 this year. But Congress stalwart and former Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand has not appeared in any of the convention. Earlier it was believed that Tara Chand belongs to the faction of former Union Minister and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad so he has been deliberately skipping Mir's function to express his loyalty towards Azad. But today Ghulam Nabi Azad came all the way from Union Capital only to address one day convention of District Congress Committ...

Early Times Report JAMMU, May 3: Thousands of internally-displaced Kashmiri Pandits today held a peaceful protest demonstration at Jantar Mantar, Delhi, to register their protest against Kashmiri separatists and tell the country what they wanted. There were reports that certain elements from the Sangh Parivar, who want the Pandit refugees to return to the Valley, were also behind this event. Members of Jammu and Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM), a RSS-sponsored KPs' outfit, were, in fact, there in the protest, who were overshadowed by the Panun Kashmir activists, and who defeated the Parivar's game plan. Sinister moves afoot to trifurcate Jammu province
Chenab Valley, Pir Panjal
5/4/2015 12:33:40 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, May 3: Sinister moves are afoot to divide Jammu province into three zones - "Chenab Valley region" consisting of Doda Kishtwar and Ramban districts, "Pir Panjal region" comprising Poonch and Rajouri districts and Plains of Jammu consisting of Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Udhampur and Reasi districts. The move, if allowed to be fructified, would help the votaries of Greater Kashmir, who have trying their best since 1947 to de-link the Muslim-majority areas from Jammu province and merge the same with the Muslim Kashmir. It would disintegrate the historic region of Jammu. There exists no such Valley as the Chenab Valley anywhere in Jammu province. It is non-existent. Sim...

5/4/2015 12:32:56 AM
Early Times Report Ambi Khaireni, May 3: Jolted by the devastating earthquake, many in the Nepalese countryside seem to have deserted their gods. Or so it seems. For a nation known for its rich heritage, grand temples and strong religious roots, hundreds of small and mid-sized temples as well as places of worship have been abandoned. In the few places this journalist drove through or trekked to, temples along the highways and on the outskirts of villages clearly bear the mark of being deserted in the last few days. Residents say these were shrines for locals till the time the devastating 7.9 temblor struck Nepal on April 25, killing and injuring thousands and causing widespread destr...
