Action likely against Sharma, Khajuria and Khan Opposition to Article 370 6/27/2015 12:36:42 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 26: State BJP president and Lok Sabha MP jugal Kishore Sharma, MLC Ashok Khajuria and newly-appointed national secretary Farooq Khan could be in trouble for what they said during the Balidan Diwas on June 23 while remembering Shyama Prasad Mookerjee at Pt Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan, Jammu, and his contribution to the national cause in Jammu & Kashmir. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, founder of Jan Sangh, had entered the state in after violating the pernicious permit system and laid down his life in Srinagar on June 23, 1953. He was a bitter critic of Article 370, as also a bitter critic of the demand in Kashmir for greater autonomy. His view was that if the Kashmiri leadership insisted on Article 370 and greater autonomy, Jammu region and Ladakh must get the status of statehood as the people of these two regions were nationalist to the core and vehemently opposed to the demand in Kashmir for greater autonomy.
