Jammu, Mar 7: Sleuths of State Vigilance organization Jammu today arrested one Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Ram Chand presently posted at Police Post Hatli Morh Kathua while accepting bribe of Rs 3000/- from the complainant in the presence of Independent witnesses
According to sources, one S Harvinder Singh s/o S Tarlok Singh of Chack Partap Singh Hatli Morh Kathua presently at Nanak Nagar, Jammu, lodged a complaint with Vigilance Organisation alleging therein ASI posted at Police Post Hatli Morh Kathua has registered a false complaint against him and now is demanding Rs10, 000/- from the complainant."
"On this complaint, a trap team comprising of DySP Girdhari Lal, Rajesh Sharma, Hari Singh, Mushtaq Ahmad (all Inspectors) and some Independent witnesses laid a trap under the supervision of R K Chalotra, SSP (Vigilance) Samba-Kathua, sources said adding, "the SVO sleuths caught ASI Ram Chand of Police Post Hatli Morh Kathua red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 3000/- from the complainant in the presence of Independent witnesses."
A case FIR No.11/2015 stands registered under appropriate sections at P/S Vigilance Organisation, Jammu against the accused and further investigations are on in this regard. |
