BJP spokespersons go into hibernation | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 7: Since BJP joined the coalition with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State there is no designated spokesman of the party available to clarify the party's stand on contentious issues. BJP had a battery of spokespersons prior to joining the coalition which included senior Advocate Sunil Sethi, former DIG Farooq Khan, Lalit Moza, Anil Gupta and Balbir Ram. But none of them has come forward to speak to the media or face the camera to clear the party's stand on various issues which need clarification. While PDP spokesman defends Party's every decision there is no one available from BJP side to do the same. Sources said BJP spokespersons are in a state of confusion as they don't know how to react and lack experience to handle contentious issues. "BJP spokespersons have not been authorized by the senior party leaders to make any statement on the functioning of the coalition in the State with the result all the spokespersons have gone into hibernation," sources added. If BJP continues to shy away from the media it can spell doom for the party and can provide a chance to its opponents to hit out at the party. |
