Jammu's Super Specialty Hospital lacks basic amenities 3/8/2015 11:52:26 PM Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 8 : The only Super Speciality Hospital in the State of Jammu and Kashmir functional at Jammu is lacking several basic amenities including a drug store and a canteen causing immense inconvenience to patients and their attendants. While talking to Early Times, many officials working in the hospital expressed concern over non availability of a canteen and a drug store inside the hospital, which confronted them with inconvenience each day. "While attendants have to rush to drug stores in the vicinity several times in a day, lack of a basic requirement like a canteen speaks volumes about the insensitivity of the administrators" said an employee. When contacted, Principal Government Medical College Jammu Dr. Ganshyam Dev Gupta said that the matter related to opening of "Fair price shop" has been taken up with Red Cross Society. He added that same will be established shortly. "As far as establishment of canteen inside the hospital premises is concerned, there is a stay order on it--- I have written to law officer of the department for early vacation of the stay so that canteen could be set up inside the hospital" said Dr. Ganshyam.
