JMC continues anti- encroachment drive 3/8/2015 12:30:05 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 7: Continuing and intensifying the anti encroachment drive to clear the footpaths / pavements from encroachments the enforcement staff led by the chief enforcement officer under the guidance of Kiran Wattal Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu undertook a day long and extensive drive. During the drive the team demolished two Khokhas erected by Manga Ram and Gura Ditta who had encroached upon the municipal land near Tanga stand canal head, Jammu and after clearing the footpaths and pavements the team also lifted 15 reharies from the areas at City Chowk, Indira Chowk, Canal Head, Akhnoor Road, Jammu which were kept stationary hampering the free movement of vehicular traffic and also causing hindrance and obstruction to the pedestrians. The drive has been conducted with the help of police led by I/c police post canal head, Jammu and also police force from District Police Lines, Jammu. The Jammu Municipal Corporation has appealed to the hawkers to refrain from making encroachments and also to the shopkeepers to keep their goods within their shops / establishments to avoid seizure of these goods and penalty for such defaults as such encroachments cause the obstructions which hamper the free movement of vehicular traffic and pedestrians thereby causing inconvenience to the general public.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
