VHP takes corporate help for Togadia rally | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 7 : The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has sought corporate for Pravin Togadia's rally at Dusshera ground in Jammu on Mar 8. The VHP took the help after BJP failed to get permission for the rally. Pravin Togadia is scheduled to address a public rally at Dussehra Grounds on March 8, but the permission required did not came handy as police and administrative set-up had denied the permission to host the international VHP president. The state unit of VHP had few days earlier approached various government agencies to seek its permission for Togadia's address in Jammu which was denied by the state government. Failing on all fronts, the VHP then approached some high class business and corporate sector in the region to seek their help in managing the permission for Togadia's entry into the town. Sources said that state vice president of VHP individually took help of these organization of businessmen for seeking the permission. With the support of the organization, the state president of VHP succeeded in seeking the permission but with some restriction of preventing noise pollution and communal remarks. It is pertinent to mention here that though BJP is among the coalition in the state governance, but for seeking permission to host its right wing party's international; president visiting Jammu, the party felt helpless to give permission for the rally. |
