Jammu, Mar 7 : Head of Department of Computer Sciences, Government SPMR College of Commerce, Prof Parveen Singh has been conferred with the "National award for the year 2014-15" , the most prestigious national recognition by the Government of India , at a award ceremony held on 2nd of March 2015, at Technology Bhawan, New Delhi. Prof Parveen Singh was presented this prestigious award for his outstanding contribution in the field of promotion of Science among Children's. The Award comprises of Citation, a memento and one lack Rupees .The award was presented by YS Chaudhary, minister of State, Science and technology, Govt Of India, Sh. BP Singh Secretary to Govt Of India ,Prof. Ashutosh Sharma Secretary DST and Dr. Inder Jit Singh Joint Secretary DST Administration. Prof Parveen Singh had also been conferred with State award, J&K Govt. "Science innovative teacher award", Best teacher award apart from numbers of Citation and had many times represented India in number of workshops and conferences abroad. Recently he was conferred with China fellowship to attend one month program at china where his paper was adjusted best among all the papers presented around the world. Prof. Parveen has attended more than 8 international conferences, 12 national conferences, published number of books and has organized more than 75 workshops for students and teachers fraternity for popularization of science. |
