Vijaypur Zone Cricket Tournament organized

Viujaypur, May 11: Department of Youth Service and Sports organized Vijaypur Zone Inter School Cricket Tournament for boys of age groups Under - 14 & Under - 17 at MV International School. Nine teams from various schools of the zone participated in the tournament. In the first match of U-17 category Govt Higher Secondary Vijaypur defeated Govt High School Sunjwan by 38 runs. In the second match Jyoti Public High School won over Praveen Model High School by six runs. First Semifinal was played between MV International School and Jyoti Public High School where the MVIS team crushed the opponents and won by nine wickets. In the second semi final Govt. Higher Secondary School, Vijaypur won over Netaji Higher Secondary School by 11 runs. In the U-14 category Jyoti Public High School won over Govt Middle School, Ranjirhi by nine wickets. Jyoti Public High School defeated MV International in the finals. In the thrilling final match MV International School defeated Higher Secondary School, Vijaypur by 1 wicket. The teams for both age groups have been selected for the inter zone competitions.
