Jammu, May 11: The Rashtriya Rifles battalion at Gool under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Force Headquarter, Reasi today distributed various sports items to students of Government High School, Indh.
According to press release, main objective of the event was to encourage the youth to take active part in sports and games as well as conduct talent hunt and promote sports in schools for the budding sportsmen and women of the future.
The sarpanch of village Indh, Basheer Ahmed Bhat was thankful to the battalion for the contributing sports items to the school and said that, the effort will give an impetus to the children for far flung villages as sports engages them in a collective effort to pursue human excellence and be proud of the important values of sports around equality friendship, inspiration, diversity and the community focus of sport.
Principal of school, Abdul Rashid Bhat said that the sports items will encourage students to pick up a game of their choice and inculcate in them a spirit of sportsmanship and the school kids to embrace sports activities in sprit of fun and enjoyment. |
